8 December, 2005

You are invited to the Screenworks Christmas party drinks at the Bangalow Hotel Thursday 15th December at 6pm. This will be followed at 8pm by Frank Coorey who will present his film trivia competition. It has been a huge year and the board and staff of Screenworks hope to catch up with you next Thursday.

Also a reminder to those who are considering submitting applications to the AFC funding programs over January and February (take note of the deadlines http://www.afc.gov.au/funding/deadlines/default.aspx/ as some of them start the first week of January and we don’t want you to miss out!), that Anne Chesher is available for clinic appointments on Friday 16 December. Feedback from those who attended the last clinic with Anne was excellent and it is worth taking up this opportunity to discuss your treatment or budget. Email kate@screenworks.com.au for an appointment. Also it is worth noting that those grappling with budgets over the silly season should check out http://www.moneypenny.com.au/ for rates.

Heart2Heart has convened public meetings in Lismore, Grafton, Bangalow and on the 8th December in Murwillumbah (venue City of the Arts Space 5.30pm). If you know young people between 15-25years get them to check out the H2H blog. We are seeking 5 great story ideas for development into a script using stories from the region as the source material. Stories will need to be submitted by 30 January 2006. Selected projects and teams will receive extraordinary professional training and mentoring. This will be a career making experience – so don’t miss out. Contact Anne Chesher 0418 289 632 for information.
