Kim Dalton, the chief executive of the Australian Film Commission
(AFC), has been chosen as the ABC's director of television. See http://abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200601/s1546315.htm OFLC – New “E” marking for films and computer games
The new Classification (Markings for Certified Exempt Films and
Computer Games) Determination 2005 came into effect on 1 January 2006.
The Determination creates a new “E” marking for films and computer
games that are certified as exempt from classification by the
Classification Board, and specifies how to use the new marking on an
exempt film or game product. An application for exemption is similar to
an application for classification. Application forms and explanatory
notes can be found on the OFLC website. See www.oflc.gov.au. Cybersmartkids
With school holidays in full swing, it’s likely that children will be
spending much more time on the net and using their mobile phones. With
this in mind the Australian Communications and Media Authority has
relaunched its internet safety web site www.cybersmartkids.com.au, with the aim of reminding parents and children about some simple yet practical tips for staying safe online.
