Developer announced
Screenworks is delighted to announce that the developer for the ScreenXchange project is Melbourne-based company Visual Jazz who have teamed up with ScreenHub to develop the technical applications to deliver the ScreenXchange project. The ScreenXchange consortia, consisting of Evolve Media, Sound Foundation, Channel Byron, CLIC Networks and ScreenWorks have delivered a comprehensive functional spec and site map from which Visual Jazz is developing the site. (Thank you to those who participated in the ScreenXchange consultations, which contributed to the development of the functional spec.)

"We are delighted to have Visual Jazz and ScreenHub on board. Their excellence in the development of user friendly interfaces and sophisticated content management systems will serve this project well.
They have a comprehensive understanding of the film industry through their development of the ScreenHub information services and portal and this project will benefit from that market insight," says project manager Kate Ingham.

ScreenXchange is funded through the Information Technology Online (ITOL) project at DCITA.

Congratulations

Casino’s John Bell has received development funding from the AFC to employ script editor and Murwillumbah local, Belinda Chayko, to take the short film script of THE BOXER to another draft. John and producer Annie Benzie pursued this avenue having met the AFC’s Julia Overton at a ScreenWork’s clinic. They aim to attract production funding through the AFC’s Indigenous Unit. “The guidance and the support of Screenworks made this possible. I’m really excited about the prospect of actually getting to shoot this film this year," said Annie Benzie.

Our producer incubator recipients have been busy
1. Noelene Hayes, working with Queensland director Anthony Mullins shot her documentary ELVIS GOES TO PARKES over December and January and was funded by SBS, PFTC, AFC and FTO. Noelene is producer, Melissa Fox co-producer and Mark Chapman executive producer.
2. Cynthia Connop has been in Santa Fe shooting her AFC funded documentary BLOODLINES. Ninety percent of the shoot is complete and post production is underway with local Richard Mordaunt as editor.
3. Lili Munoz worked as segment producer on the MTV shoot REAL WORLD V'S ROAD RULES which shot in the region last November and December.
