LIFE'S A PITCH
2008 UPDATES
GRAND FINAL - 15 November
Thanks to all the applicants who entered Life's A Pitch this year.  We saw some amazingly creative proposals, from both experienced professionals and some terrific newcomers.  We had to narrow the choice down to 10, who pitched their projects to our local panel, and six have now been selected to go through to the finals.

On 1 November the finalists attended Pitch Training Day where Catherine Marciniak and Sandy George helped them pull their Pitches apart and put them back together.  Now they face the last hurdle:  the Life's A Pitch Finals.
Visit the Screenworks Website to learn more about the finalists and their projects.

One-On-One Meetings with SBS - 15 November

Part of what makes Life's A Pitch so exciting is the opportunity to bring industry leaders to the Northern Rivers to meet with local producers. This year John Godfrey, Executive Producer, Factual for SBS TV and Online, has offered to hold a limited number of one-on-one meetings with local producers.  These will be held on Saturday, 15 November between 2:00 and 4:30PM.  To apply for one of these appointments, please email or fax Screenworks with a summary of your proposal, including content, production team and the current status of the project. These should be well-developed factual projects, not drama.  Applicants will be advised by email shortly this week if they have an appointment with John.
