The Lifeline Global Initiative is looking for an experienced Producer/Director with factual broadcast Television experience to go on a 13 month filming trip from Sydney to Tokyo between the dates of 9th September 2009 to 10th October 2010.

You will be part of a larger non profit intitiative called the Lifeline with two further teams, comprised of three people, leaving from London to Capetown, and New York to Buenos Aires. Your team will be made up of one producer/assistant filmmaker/sound/fixer - Kirsty Thompson, and a member of the public - who is yet to be chosen.

Please note due to our non profit status and funding requirements this job is set at the UK National Minimum Wage.

On the journey you will be filming sustainable projects and interviewing outstanding individuals who are creating the solutions for the environmental deadlines humanity faces. Editing on the road, your work will be posted as short reports and vlogs on the Lifeline website www.thelifeline.tv (currently in development) as well as contribute towards creating a set of nine films in DVD format for sale as the Definitive Guide to Sustainability called "The Lifeline"  available in December 2010.
